Abe Laboriel on bass, Greg Mathison on keys and Jeff Pocaoro on drums and some of the best playing I ever witnessed. Thank you Jeff Whiting, for the invitation.

7. Joe Pass at ArtPark Lewiston NY., 1983. Billed as 'The Great Guitars of Swing '. Buffalo's Jim Hall and Barney Kessell were on the bill with arguably the best guitar player to ever walk the planet, Joe Pass. It was no contest.

8. Stephan Grappelli at the Tralfamadore Café Buffalo NY, 1988. Guitar great Django Reinhardt's main man on violin. Hot Jazz and unforgettable melody from a very sweet old fellow. I am thrilled to have heard him play live.

9. Steely Dan at War Memorial Auditorium Buffalo NY, 1993. This show may have
been my all time favorite because I admire the song writing skills of Donald Fagen
and Walter Becker so much. To be in the same room as these guys and their
amazing talented and tight band was a moment to cherish. There was goose
bumps galore as I sat mesmerized. Hats off to the sound men who had a
wonderful game plan for this acoustically tricky room.

10. James Taylor at Darien Lake 2001. Speaking of great song writing
skills...James Taylor should be the first face on a musical Mount
Rushmore.
