The Savio's definitely taught me about "practice" and practice we did. Our get together lately with Father Leo reminded me of just how much we practiced. Yes...it did pay off, here we are 40 years l;after and the music still sounds good. Many of us still are in the business and you guys sound good.

I have fond memories of the Savio days, my mother fixing up and mending my while robe. Always loosing the tie string somewhere, and wondering if it would be clean for the next performance.

Selling the "St. Christopher" license plates to raise funds, or asking Tony at the Barber shop if we could put a sign in his window. It gave us all social skills of asking and getting along with people to meet our goals. ( Unfortunately today the kids have their parents do the selling and asking for them).

I remember the long hours of kneeling on our knuckles in the basement of the old school and we continued to practice our singing in a much better controlled atmosphere. Watching through the small openings in the windows with the mess screen on the outside the other kids walking by in route to play in the warmth and sunshine while we labored away in practice...
