day. The festivities kicked off with a 4 PM Mass celebrated by Monsignor McCarthy with featured song selections from choir members Jim McGuire, Billie Schoellkopf, Bob Liddell, Tony Gabamonte, Chris Clark, Chuckie O'Neill and brand new Choir inductee 11 year old, Casimir Murzek, who performed a stirring solo rendition of 'Ave Maria' and 'Panis Angelicus'. Casimir was presented a Savios induction award by Monsignor Leo during the service. A reception followed in the school gymnasium. The evening's festivities included a lively monologue by Jimmy Keane reminiscing on Monsignor Toomey, Monsignor McCarthy and the fun and foibles of life at Saint Teresa's Parish in the 1950's and 60's. Live music was hosted by The Stone Bridge Band (Bob Wirth, Bob Roof, Tim Wirth, Willie Schoellkopf, and yours truly) and featured musical performances by 'The Prendergast, Burke, Shaw Band', Monsignor McCarthy and the Savios. Bob Ray provided many of the event photos. Other notable highlights of the evening was the presentation of Jack Quinn's Congressional Recognition Award for life time service and dedication to Monsignor Leo and Paul Head, the 'Memories of Hillary Playground' Paul Head photo collection. |
