| I was a member of the Savio's, Saint Teresa's Boy's Choir for most of my grade school years. The following pages document the choir's accomplishments through restored choir recordings, photos, and memorabilia. As I dug back in time, I came across a much worn 33 RPM record of "The Spirit of Christmas" recorded by the Savios, St. Teresa's Boy's Choir in 1962. I thought, why wouldn't this fine musical entity qualify for a place on my music web site? The recording restoration lead to a great choir reunion at the Blackthorn Pub on Seneca St. in South Buffalo, on December 12th, 2002. A Buffalo News article, a radio interview and good old fashion word of mouth got the word out that this much loved choir was to be heard from again. The choir's director, Monsignor Leo McCarthy has restored five more choir CDs that are available by contacting him directly at: St. Joseph's Church, 303 East Main St. Batavia, NY 14020. The Spirit of Christmas can be ordered through our contact page, and also at The Tara Gift Shop on Abbott Road in South Buffalo. The Savios CD Box Set contains: |
