I have documented the bands and musicians from Western New York that I have played with through the years on the pages on my web site.
Most notably I was a founder of the The Blue Ox Band in the late '60's. The Blue Ox Band established itself, carving out our own performing circuit (The Belle Starr Tavern, Niagara University., The Bona Vista on Hertle Ave. Buffalo, The Purple Pig in Rochester NY., The Angola NY lake bars;WMU Club and Bruce Jarvis' Out-Side-Inn) and building a good local following of fans of The Blue Ox Band's 'Americana' sound long before this term
became household.
In 1980 I founded the regionally popular band The Thirds, along with fellow
musicians Joe Head and Jim Brucato.
In 1982, the band produced our own original music album called 'Songs
from the City Line'.
The 'Songs from the City Line' recording helped The Thirds become a leading
regional pop music trio who's eclectic folk-country rock-bluesy-jazzy sound
has endured to this day.
In 1982 The Thirds were the first band to play at Nietzsche's, a Buffalo tavern
that has since become an essential music venue of the Buffalo music scene. We
played live every Thursday night at Nietzsche's for 11 years straight years. The
Thirds were Buffalo Music Award winners in '91 and '92...
